PR-Performance Running’s full marathon training program information and benefits.

We offer a 20 week training program where our experienced coaches will help prepare you for your full marathon.

The full marathon training program is designed around three area marathons and the start dates vary accordingly.

  • Fox Valley Marathon:  Race date is Sunday, September 16th. Program starts April 29th, with the first group long run on Saturday, May 5th.
  • Chicago Marathon: Race date is Sunday, October 7th. Program starts May 20th, with the first group long run on Saturday, May 26th.
  • Naperville Half Marathon: Race date is Sunday, October 21st. Program starts June 3rd, with the first group long run on Saturday, June 9th.

Program Benefits:

  • 20 week training program designed to meet your specific race goals
  • Individualized coaching from accomplished runners that are RRCA certified
  • Monday night speed training workouts for intermediate and advanced marathoners, starting at Geneva Middle School North, Geneva. View MAP for directions.
  • Wednesday night group runs, starting at Dick Pond Athletics, St. Charles. View the MAP for directions.
  • Saturday morning group runs, starting at LeRoy Oakes, St. Charles. View the MAP for directions.
  • Group runs led by a team of dedicated pacers at each 30 second pace interval from 8:00 per minute to 11:00 per minute mile
  • Water and Gatorade support for all group runs
  • Gear check, water, Gatorade and more will be provided at our PR club tent for the Fox Valley Marathon and Naperville Marathon
  • Wednesday night discounts at Dick Pond Athletics for program participants
  • Weekly emails providing training tips and advice
  • Clinics that provide information on proper running gear, injury prevention, proper stretching and more…
  • End-of-season party to celebrate your running accomplishments
  • FUN, FUN and more FUN!!!
